What is everyone saying about our music curriculum?

There has been lots of positive feedback from schools who have adapted the Sparkyard curriculum across all year groups. These materials clearly address the requirements of the Model Music Curriculum and support schools to fulfil the expectations of the new National Plan for Music.

The website is easy to navigate, the content is awesome. I can’t wait for us to take this to the whole school in September. As someone who does not have a musical background, I’ve found this so easy to follow and understand. It has given me so much more confidence to teach the subject. Huge congratulations Out of the Ark Music for creating such a superb resource.

Sparkyard is a great resource for non-music specialists as the music curriculum is all planned and ready for you deliver. Children love the songs and the practical activities taught through the lessons for each year group.

Children love singing the songs and following the words on screen. All age-groups enjoy the songs. The music curriculum will be really useful for those members of staff that are not confident in teaching music, and it gives us all a starting point with our planning.

Easy to follow, clearly covers the curriculum and the children love it. As a non-specialist Music Lead, I have found it a brilliant resource, the children have made fantastic progress and other non-musician teachers have found it easy to follow.

The most valuable aspect of Sparkyard for me is definitely the songs. Every single one of them offers something unique, and having such a rich variety at my fingertips makes it easy to find the perfect fit for each class. The songs help keep my students engaged, excited, and eager to learn more. They really elevate the energy in my music lessons, and that’s been a key factor in the success I’ve seen recently.

When I took over the role of Music Lead, there was very little additional music in school (e.g. singing assemblies, choir etc) now we have regular singing assemblies across the whole school using songs from Sparkyard, we use the songs and warm ups regularly for our school choir and staff access the songs to use in their lessons for cross curricular purposes. That it is not just a music curriculum scheme, it is so much more than that, with a whole school approach that allows music to be emersed throughout the school day.
